Arkansas Electrical w/ Business Law
A Master Electrician has the ability to plan, layout, supervise, and conduct the installation, maintenance, and extension of electrical conductors and equipment.
A Journeyman Electrician has the ability to install, maintain, or extend electrical conductors and equipment. All work must be done under the supervision of a Master Electrician.
Any person or business that is a Master Electrician or employs a Master Electrician as its superintendent or manager may become an Electrical Contractor by making application with the Licensing Board and paying the $100.00 licensing fee. No further testing is necessary unless you are bidding jobs over $20,000.
The Business Law exam is required for projects exceeding $20,000 and is required for an Electrical Contractor's license. For jobs less than $20,000 applicants only the trade exam is required.

NASCLA Commercial General Building Contractor
The NASCLA Accredited Commercial General Building Contractor Exam eliminates the trade examination only for the participating state agencies. Once you have passed an exam within the NASCLA Accredited Examination Program, contractors will still have to meet additional state licensure requirements within each participating state to obtain their license, as well as passing the state specific Business Law exam.

Arkansas HVC Class A Unlimited
HVAC Trade License: There are 5 separate classifications that cover HVAC/R work.
Class A entitles the licensee to perform HVACR work without limitation to BTUH or HP capacities.
Class B entitles the licensee to perform HVACR work on A/C systems that do not exceed a 15-ton cooling capacity or one million BTUH heating input per unit and refrigeration systems of 15 HP or less.
Class C - Entitles the licensee, to service and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning or refrigeration equipment. To service, repair or replace components of HVACR equipment and to perform HVACR work on air conditioning systems of not more than 15 tons cooling capacity per unit or 1 million BTUH heating input per unit and refrigeration systems of 15 horse power or less per unit.
A Class C license holder shall not install any original HVACR equipment or replace any existing HVACR equipment.
Class D â Entitles the licensee to perform âSheet metalâ work as it relates to ductwork for HVACR system. There is no limitation of horse power of the system to which the duct connects. The license holder in this category is prohibited from the sale, installation and service of HVACR equipment and systems.
Class E â Entitles the licensee to perform âRefrigerationâ work as defined in Ark. Code 17-33-101 without limitation of horsepower. The license holder in this category is prohibited from the sale, installation and service of heating and air conditioning equipment used for the treatment of air for human comfort requirements.
