To be an apprentice plumber, you must be 17 years old or older and registered in an approved apprenticeship program.
To qualify to become a journeyman plumber, you must have at least 4 years in an apprenticeship program or be a licensed plumber in another state.
To qualify to become a plumbing contractor, you must have at least 4 years in an apprenticeship program, be a licensed plumber in another state, or have 4 years in the plumbing business under a licensed plumbing contractor.
After journeyman and contractor applicants submit an application, they will have to pass an exam administered by Prov.
