Colorado Master Electrician


โ€œMaster electricianโ€ means a person having the necessary qualifications, training, experience, and technical knowledge to properly plan, lay out, and supervise the installation and repair of wiring apparatus and equipment for electric light, heat, and power, and for other purposes, in accordance with standard rules governing the work, such as the national electrical code.


To perform electrical contracting in the State of Colorado, you must be a licensed Electrical Contractor registered with the State of Colorado:



  • Hold or employ a licensed master electrician to serve as the responsible individual for the company.



    • The master electrician and company owner (if separate individuals) must sign an Acknowledgment of Responsibility Form. The selected master electrician may be the responsible party for one company only.


  • You must submit evidence that you comply with Workersโ€™ Compensation and Unemployment Compensation laws.
