The exam is administered by PSI. It consists of 55 questions, multiple choice, with a 2 hr time limit. The exam is open book and requires a 70% to pass.
Exam topics include: Data and Telecommunications, Video Systems – CCTV/CATV, Sound and A/V Systems, Security Systems, Fire Systems, Codes and Standards, General Knowledge, Theory, Definitions, and Safety
The examination may also contain questions based on trade knowledge or general industry practices. Except for Code books, you can base your answers on later editions of references as they become available
Currently, American Contractors does not offer a seminar in the Connecticut area. We do, however, carry the approved reference material for your state exam as well as offering an Electrical Course that will help individuals get more familair with the National Electrcial Code.
