License Requirements
Michigan Residential Builders-M&A Contractors Effective June 1, 2008 New Licensing Requirements: Public Act 157 of 2007 requires individuals seeking a Residential Builder or M&A Contractor license to complete 60 hours of education courses prior to examination.
first step in the licensing process is to pass the exams. All applicants are required to pass the Business Law exam in addition to the specific trade(s) exam.

Currently no Continuing Education is required in Michigan.The Exam
The testing company is PSI. The exam are closed book and timed. The time limit and fees are based on the number of exams you are taking and up to 3 exams can be taken at the same time.
