All contractors are required to pass the Business Management Survey exam in addition to a trade exam in order to become  licensed.

Pre-Approval is required.  Applicants must document a minimum of four (4) years experience in the classification sought.

Bonding, Insurance and a Current Financial Statement are also required.

The state of Nevada has reciprocal agreements with California,  Arizona & Utah for many classifications. Applicants must have at least 7 years experience and meet all licensing requirements.
Nevada does not currently require Continuing Education.

The testing company is PSI. It is a closed book exam.

The Excavating & Grading Exam is a multiple choice, open-book, timed test. There are 40 questions and a 1.5 hour time limit. A minimum of 28 questions (70%) must be correct to pass the exam.

Topics include Earthwork Construction, Safety & Tools.

You will receive your score immediately following the exam.

The exam fee is $95 for one exam or $134 for one trade plus the Management Survey Exam.
